The design of this neo-Georgian brooch is inspired by 18th-century designs and built up of silver floral wreaths that are studded with rose-cut diamonds.
The center is set with a square step-cut diamond with an estimated weight of 0.80 carats. Unlike the rose-cut diamonds, which are set in closed settings, the back of this central diamond is open, allowing light to the stone. It has a bright colour (estimated at H-I) and quite a large cloud-like inclusion, which can be seen with the naked eye: I have included a picture of the diamond up close so you can see this inclusion.
