These 18k yellow earrings hug around the earlobe, which is why they are often referred to as 'huggie' earrings in the trade.
Each earring is set with four cushion-cut onyxes in descending size. The use of onyx suggests they were originally worn as part of someone's mourning attire. A tiny loop at the end of each earring reveals that they originally had a dangling element: I personally prefer them without anything added, since it gives them a cool, almost modern look.
