This 14kt yellow gold ring was made as a remembrance of a dearly beloved. Its front is decorated with a little artificial lock, revealing that the front can be opened. Behind this little compartment is a small piece of braided, strawberry blonde hair, and the initials 'PMJ'. In my experience, the hair work in these rings is often missing, so it is quite rare to find one with it still in place.
