
This 18k yellow gold stickpin was originally worn in a man's cravat, the predecessor of the necktie. It is topped by a little silver bear with tiny garnet eyes, who is struggling to hold a purple pearl in his paws.

Age: 19th Century, Victorian era, circa 1880s.
Material: Hallmarked with French hallmarks for 18k gold and 800/1000 silver, used after 1838.
Condition: In great antique condition with only minor signs of wear, consistent with age. The pearl has some damages around the drill hole, which is not very visible when worn.
