This 15k yellow gold ring was originally worn as a reminder of a loved-one. The front of the setting and the shoulders of the ring shank have been decorated with black enamel, which points to it being worn as a mourning ring. The oval front shows a rose-cut diamond-encrusted forget-me-not flower, which can be read as a symbol of remembrance. I suspect that originally, the back had a glass panel containing a piece of hair or cloth in remembrance of a loved one, but this is no longer there.
