This antique stickpin would have originally been worn in a gentleman's cravat, the predecessor of the necktie. It is set with a cameo depicting a lady in classical attire, fitted in a filigree gold border.

Age: 19th Century, circa 1880s.
Material: The setting has been acid tested as 9k gold: the pin is made from a non-precious metal.
Condition: In antique condition with signs of wear. There are two cracks in the cameo: one in the left in the black background, and one at the right, which can be seen in the bun of the lady.
