This silver watch key was originally worn for a practical reason: to wind a pocket watch or a small clock. Today, it makes a lovely and interesting pendant.
It is set with an imprint of an ancient Athenian Tetradrachm coin, which was widely used in the Mediterranean region around 500 BC. It depicts a portrait of Athena on one side, and an Athenian owl on the other.

Age: This key was approximately made in the second half of the 19th Century. I believe the coin not ancient, but a 19th-century imprint of an ancient original.
