This is a fine example of a typical Dutch rose-cut diamond ring. Its design faintly resembles jewellery from the 18th Century, with a forked yellow gold shank hugging an open-worked, clover-shaped front, studded with rose-cut diamonds in closed, silver settings. However, it was designed around 1900, when this type of classical style was very much 'in vogue'.
