This North Star pendant is set with nine rose-cut diamonds of various sizes.
The North Star, also known as Polaris, is a symbol of guidance and direction. In ancient times, navigators and travelers used the North Star as a way to determine their location and navigate the seas.
It is made from silver, with a gold-washed back. Traditionally, this was done because silver brings out the colour and brilliance of diamonds, while a gold back prevents the silver from tarnishing and potentially staining skin or clothing.
This pendant is currently being offered without a necklace, but I have several matching chains in stock. Please feel free to reach out if you would like to discuss the available options.
