This 18k yellow gold ring is set with an open-worked, scroll-like platinum front, which is set with 43 small rose-cut diamonds of various sizes.
The design of this ring is known as a 'tank ring', and was inspired by the tracks of tanks, which were first used during World War I. These large machines were such a revolution in design that they inspired other designers too, which can be seen in furniture, fashion, and jewellery designs of the 1930s and '40s.
