This impressive cluster ring has great finger coverage! Its design will remind most people of rings from the 18th Century, but it was actually made in The Netherlands in the mid-20th Century, when antique jewels were so popular that there was a demand for antique-inspired designs.
Like antique designs, it is made from 14k yellow gold with a silver front. In the past, silver was used to set diamonds in because this brought out their brilliance, while the gold ring shank and back prevented the silver from tarnishing skin or clothing.
The ring is centered by a large, table-cut natural emerald of an estimated 8.75 carats. This emerald is encircled by twenty-six rose-cut diamonds of various sizes, which all have been placed in closed settings.
