This yellow gold bracelet served as a wonderful souvenir, almost 200 years ago.
Its design is made up of eighteen panels, which have all been decorated with enamel. The panels are alternatingly painted with a black foliage pattern, or with a variety of multi-coloured flowers.
However, what makes it most unique is what lies inside! Both sides of the bracelet have secret hinges and open to reveal a message. One side of the bracelet hides the black enamel word 'Erinerung' (or 'memory / souvenir') and the other side has been personalized and is engraved with the inscription: Wien (Vienna) 1838.
The bracelet opens with a box-clasp and is fitted with a safety catch, to prevent it from slipping off unnoticed.
