These 18kt white gold halo earrings are centered by a round rose-cut tanzanite of circa 2.50 carats, encircled by 20 brilliant-cut diamonds, with a combined weight of 0.20 carat per earring. The disc-shaped pushers guarantee that the earrings sit nicely on the lobe when worn.
Tanzanite is the purplish-blue variety of the mineral zoisite, and can only be found in a small region in Tanzania, which has given the gemstone its name. It was only discovered in the 1960s and brought to market by Tiffany & Co. in 1968.
