This miniature domino set will likely have killed many boring hours for its previous owners! The case is made from 18k rose gold, embossed with a floral pattern. There is a tiny tweezer fixed to the outside of the case, and the case opens and closes with a lid. Inside, you will find 23 tiny domino stones, made from mother-of-pearl.
Domino was invented in the 13th Century in China and became a popular game in Europe too. Dominoes allow for a variety of games, as well as tests of skill and patience. The markings on dominoes, known as pips, originally represented the results of throwing two six-sided dice. The European dominoes variety differs from the Chinese version by adding seven extra dominoes—six representing the results from throwing a single die with the other half of the tile left blank, and one representing a double zero combination.
