This porcelain bottle is decorated with a lute-playing putto on one side, and the message 'Tout a Vous', which translates to 'all yours' on the other. Its border is decorated with a pearled border, and it is fitted with a gilded screw cap with a small bale, so it can be worn as a pendant.
Tiny scent bottles like this example would often be worn on a chatelaine, a girdle that would carry personal items for everyday use. These chatelaines were not only practical but also had a highly decorative function, and would display someone's wealth and taste.
