This stunning yellow gold ring has an oval front setting made from blue enamel, and set with four antique-cut diamonds. The design is completed by a halo of tiny rose-cut diamonds.
'Bague au Firmament' rings were designed to emulate the night sky, by using a royal blue enamel background for an array of sparkling diamonds. This trend was started in France in the second half of the 18th Century, and quickly grew popular in the rest of Europe.

This ring could be resized if desired.

Age: Early 19th Century, Georgian era, circa 1820s.
Material: Acid tested as 9k gold and silver.
Condition: This ring is in good antique condition with only minor wear, consistent with its age. There are a few minor chips in the blue enamel around the settings of the diamonds, likely caused when the diamonds were set. This can be seen in the pictures, and luckily is not very noticeable when worn.
