This 9k rose gold rivière necklace is set with thirty-seven oval, flat-cut garnets in so-called collet settings.
A rivière necklace is made of a line of gemstones of the same shape and size - sometimes graduating smoothly-, often set in separate collet settings. The effect is a stunning display in which the gemstones take center stage.
These garnets are faceted with a large, flat table, which creates a beautiful mirror-like effect when worn. Each garnet has a little piece of foil behind it to optimize its colour. The clasp is hidden in one of the settings and therefore not very visible when worn. The relatively short length of the necklace makes it fall high on the collarbone when worn.
