This stickpin was originally worn in a man's cravat, the predecessor of the necktie, and was likely bought as an Egyptian souvenir.
The gilt metal pin holds a tiny faience sculpture of the Egyptian goddess Isis, one of the most important gods in the Egyptian realm, and the wife of the god Osiris. I believe that this is not a genuine ancient Egyptian artifact, but that it was created for the tourist market, making it an interesting souvenir from the era in which the whole of Europe was crazy with 'Tutankhamun mania'.
