GENERAL INFORMATION
Size: 58 x 12 mm.
Weight: combined 4.81 grams
Age: Late 19th Century, also known as the Belle Epoque era, circa 1890s.
Material: The earrings are acid tested as 18k gold, the posts are acid tested for 14k gold. The posts are hallmarked with Dutch taxation hallmarks, used before 1952.
Condition: In great antique condition with minor signs of wear, consistent with their age. The posts were added at a later point: it is possible that these were originally created with a screw-fitting, as a lot of earrings were around the turn of the 20th Century, when lots of ladies opted not to have their ears pierced. Based on the hallmarks, the posts were added before 1952, so this conversion was done a long time ago.
