The design of this so-called Tiara ring is very typical for the period we now know as the Belle Epoque era. It has a thin, 14k yellow gold shank, which is topped by a slightly diagonally set, pear-shaped rose-cut diamond. The design is completed by 8 small rose-cut diamonds in the shoulders of the shank.
The central diamond measures 8.25 x 6.25 x 2 mm and has an estimated weight of 0.86 carats, has a bright colour (circa H-I), and is eye-clean (VS). Originally, the diamond was placed in a closed setting, but this has been opened, making the diamond brighter and the ring easier to clean.
