The famous Art Deco movement from the 1920s and '30s was heavily inspired by the geometric patterns used in Cubist and Abstract art. The square front of this ring is a clear example of this trend. It is made from 18k white gold, and set with five Old European-cut diamonds and eight single-cut diamonds. All diamonds combined have an estimated weight of 0.35 carats.
The settings of the diamonds have an intricate patterned detail known as 'mille-grain' or thousand grains: this technique was often used in both platinum and white gold designs, and helps add sophistication to the overall look of the ring.
