This bar brooch is made from 14k yellow gold with a platinum top. Its center depicts a red flag with a yellow cross, set with synthetic rubies and yellow calibrated sapphires, which have been cut to fit their setting perfectly. These gemstones have been set at a slight angle, which emulates the flag waving in the wind. The flag pole is studded with tiny rose-cut diamonds. All gemstones have been placed in open settings, allowing light to pass through the stones.
This particular flag is used in the Nautical flag alphabet to signal the letter 'R'. It is therefore a cute and elegant way to wear a brooch with the first initial of yourself or a loved one!
