This 14k yellow gold stickpin was originally worn in a man's cravat, the predecessor of the necktie. Its top is shaped like a little basket that is set with a fancy-cut diamond, and topped by five round antique-cut diamonds, all in open, silver settings. Traditionally, diamonds were set in silver settings to optimize their brilliance, while the gold back would prevent the silver from tarnishing and potentially staining skin or clothing.
Not pictured is a little stopper, which I will include with your purchase to ensure you can wear the pin safely and securely!
Feel free to reach out if you'd like to discuss having this pin converted into a pendant for a small additional fee.
