This pretty 18k yellow gold ring is centered by an oval cabochon-cut turquoise, which is encircled by eight rose-cut diamonds of various shapes and sizes. All diamonds have been placed in closed, silver settings, as was done traditionally. The silver helps bring out the brilliance of the diamonds, while the gold back and shank prevent the silver from tarnishing and potentially staining skin or clothing.
