This 19th-century silver watch chain would have originally held a pocket watch, but can easily be worn as a bracelet or used as a chain extender today.

It is made up of three silver chains and has a central element that depicts a crouched lady on one side and an engraved star pattern on the other side. The bracelet is fitted with a dog clasp.

General Information

Size: The bracelet is 18 cm or 7.10 inches long and 12 mm wide.

Weight: 15.20 grams

Age and maker: Hallmarked with the maker's mark of Hendrik Visser, who operated in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, between 1812 and 1818.

Material: Acid-tested as silver, and hallmarked with two taxation hallmarks for silver, used after 1831.

Condition: In antique condition with signs of wear, consistent with age. The features of the lady have faded with wear over time, and the bracelet displays signs of old repairs. The dog clip was replaced in the past.
