This silver fur clip is set with a round cabochon-cut moonstone and several rose-cut diamonds. Although it was made in the 1950s, it clearly used gemstones sourced from older jewels: one of the diamonds is in fact a peruzzi-cut, an 18th Century diamond facetting style that isn't often seen (and therefore only interesting for jewellery geeks like myself).
The term 'fur clip' is just for a brooch that is fitted with two pins: this design helps this clip to sit better in sturdier fabrics like wool, denim, or in the 1950s, donned on fur coats.
