This highly unusual cluster ring clearly was well-loved in the past! Its design is made up of a combination of round and pear-shaped rose-cut diamonds, which have all been placed in closed, silver settings.
At some point in the past, the old shank was replaced by a highly unusual shank with two tiny claws at either side that hold the front element in place. I suspect that this shank was made because the restorer did not want to risk heating the rose-cut diamonds and potentially spoiling the foils behind them (you can read more about rose-cut diamonds in the link I have copied below). The newly made shank was even decorated with a tiny silver element to help the front setting blend in seamlessly.

The heart measures 20 x 18 mm.
This ring can be resized if desired.
Weight: 5.90 grams
Age: I suspect that the shank was replaced around 1900, and that the rose-cut diamond cluster itself was made in the 19th Century.
Material: Acid tested as 14k gold and silver.
Condition: In good antique condition with minor wear, consistent with age. The new shank has been discussed above: you can see this in the pictures.
