The design of this ring, with a marquise-shaped front setting, is also known as a 'navette', which translates to 'little boat' in French. This shape optically elongates the finger, thereby looking gorgeous on any hand.
This particular example is made from platinum and centered by a marquise-shaped, cabochon-cut mottled jadeite, which has a colour pattern that runs from green to cream. The border of the setting is open-worked and divided up into small triangular panels, which are each set with a single-cut diamond. The sides of the setting are open-worked, which gives an elegant appearance and helps light to enter the diamonds.
