
This 19th-century wax etui was used to carry sealing wax, used to close personal letters.
It is shaped like a quiver, decorated with a finely embossed pattern troughout. It can still be used for storage - the later added lid closes securely - and after adding a jump ring, it could also be worn as a pendant.

Material: Acid tested as being silver.
Condition: In good antique condition with only minor signs of wear, consistent with its age. I believe that the current lid is a later addition, likely made because the old lid was broken or missing.
