This spectacular silver bangle was originally likely a 19th-century 'Grand Tour' souvenir, purchased by a wealthy European visitor in Rome. The front is decorated with three micro mosaic panels, the central panel depicting a bacchanal, the two side panels masks. The back of the bangle originally read 'ROMA', this is now only faintly visible.

Condition: In damaged antique condition: I would consider this bracelet a restoration piece. The micro mosaic panels are missing several tesserae, as shown in the pictures. The 'ROMA' engraving that was originally at the back of the bangle has almost completely worn away. The inside was originally gilded, but this has mostly faded away over time. The clasp still works and fastens securely.
