This ring is set with a miniature portrait, likely painting in water colour on vellum, in an oval frame. It depicts a young woman, with her auburn brown hair tied back into a low bun. Unfortunately, the identity of the sitter is unknown, but she was likely a family member or friend of the original wearer.
