This silver bangle is shaped like a cuff and even features a sculpted button to enhance the illusion. Cuff-shaped bracelets were popular in the 19th Century, and were often worn in pairs, each on one wrist.

Size: This bracelet is suitable for a smaller wrist; its inner dimensions are 55 x 48 mm, and the inner circumference is 16.5 cm. The bracelet is 36 mm wide.

Age: 19th Century, circa 1880s.
Material: The original hallmarks on the clasp have worn down: acid tested as being silver.
Condition: In great antique condition with signs of wear. The clasp is still in good working order and closes securely.
