This charming yellow gold and silver brooch is shaped like a swallow in mid-flight. Its body and wings are set with rose-cut diamonds in open, silver settings, allowing light to pass through.
Traditionally, diamonds were set in silver to optimize their brilliance and colour, while the rest of the jewel would be gold to prevent the silver from tarnishing and potentially staining skin or clothing.
