This silver needle case is shaped like an arrow and has a little safety chain to ensure that both parts are always linked together.
Originally, these arrow-shaped needle cases were often worn on a chatelaine, which is a girdle that would contain several items that were of daily use. In this case however, the case is mounted with a brooch fitting, creating a statement brooch that is both pretty and practical.
