This pretty antique arrow brooch is studded with a combination of old mine-cut and rose-cut diamonds of various sizes.
The arrow is famously the weapon of Cupid, the son and helper of Venus, the goddess of love. In the mid-19th Century, and well up to the first half of the 20th Century, brooches shaped like arrows were therefore a popular gift between lovers.
This brooch could easily be converted into a pendant: feel free to reach out to discuss this option.
