This vintage silver 5 Franc coin was transformed into a pocket knife by master knife makers Eloi Pernet. The coin was masterfully split and set with a knife and file, which can be drawn out as you would do with a traditional pocket knife.
Charles Louis Eloi Pernet (1889-1963) was a third generation knife maker from Biesles, France. He established his factory in 1920 and won the prestigious ‘Meilleur Ouvrier de France’ (Best Craftsman of France) award in 1925. He not only created designs under his own name, but also worked for brands such as Hèrmes, Dupont, and Dunhill.
This pendant is currently being offered without a necklace: feel free to reach out if you would like to discuss adding one to your purchase.
